The ultimate Challenge
After their first successful collaboration in 2017 adidas Skateboarding again teamed up with Hélas to bring a further tennis inspired story.
The capsule collection was directly inspired and drafted off the iconic Stefan Edberg signature adidas kit from the 80s.
To re-create the excitement we went down a different path. Working with the Japanese anime studio, D'ART Shtajio, we produced a Manga campaign, complete with anime short film and printed comic. Designing a storyline based around a kidnapped Stefan Edberg, the Hélas Crew with the support of rapper Kekra, they rescue him from an evil power.
The campaign was launched globally by adidas with key placements throughout the Paris Metro and Shibuya crossing in Tokyo. Additionally in Paris, we fully re-branded the local DAY OFF skate shop, located near Republique, into a full-on Manga setting, where we held a launch party for the product with invited European retailers alongside Lucas Puig and the Hélas crew.
